Our commitment

JobResumAI aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Job searching is hard enough — nobody should be blocked by inaccessible software.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy, landmarks (header, main, footer, nav), and descriptive page titles.
  • Keyboard navigation on every interactive element, including the editor's section reordering (via arrow buttons), drag handles (alternate up/down buttons), and modal dialogs.
  • Visible focus rings on all focusable elements — we never hide focus outlines.
  • Color contrast meeting AA ratios in both light and dark modes.
  • ARIA labels on icon-only buttons (undo, redo, move up, move down, delete, etc.).
  • "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
  • Reduced-motion respect: animations honour theprefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Screen reader announcement of form errors viaaria-live regions.

Known limitations

We're still improving the following; contact us if they block your workflow and we'll prioritize:

  • Some complex color-accent combinations in older templates may fall short of AA contrast. The default "Classic" and "Minimal" templates are always AA-compliant.
  • The PDF preview is a rasterized image inside the editor — it isn't navigable by screen reader. The downloaded Word (.docx) file is structured and screen-reader-friendly.

Report an issue

If you hit an accessibility barrier, email accessibility@jobresumai.com with:

  • The URL where you encountered the issue.
  • A description of what you were trying to do.
  • The assistive technology you were using, if relevant.

We respond within 3 business days and aim to fix accessibility bugs faster than other bug classes.

Formal complaints

If you believe our response is inadequate, you may file a complaint with your country's accessibility regulator. In the US, that's the Department of Justice under the ADA. In the UK, EHRC. In the EU, your national enforcement body under the European Accessibility Act.
